Welcome!

Hi, I'm Marcus!

I've been working with all aspects of computing for 23 years. I am currently the Systems Administrator at Digital Peninsula Network, serving Cornwall's increasing community of media and ICT professionals. I also work as a freelance web programmer.

My aim is to offer affordable, efficient, fast hosting and support for all your ICT needs. This website is an example of a basic site I'm currently offering free to anyone choosing to host their website with me.

For anyone wanting a custom designed website with foolproof Content Management System, I also offer this at a highly competitive rate. To this end, I work with a number of professional designers to achieve the look you want.

Organic Websites

Organic websites,
yes organic because as your company grows so can your website, there is no need to rebuild the whole site, we can just add your new features to your current one.

If you need a redesign we can implement the new design onto your current site without needing to migrate the data/users.

You add the content to your website and the search engines will quickly pick it up (organic results).

The possibilities are endless for your website as it is built with open source code. Open Source code is maintained by a large and growing number of programmers. In particular, they are also working on the Drupal project so you don't need to worry about future developments as they are already happening!

Help! I need a website.

Here is a useful list of points to think about when considering having a website designed:

1. Do I really need a website?

Sounds silly, but do you need a whole site? If you have an existing site, could you create a new section

or a microsite devoted to the new content that you wish to communicate? Perhaps just a single, well
thought-out page with links to downloadable documents and other supporting websites would work?

2. What do I need the site for?

Think of the top three reasons for having the site built. Is there a specific agenda that you need to communicate? Do you need to build a database of users?
Keeping the primary objectives clear in your mind will steer the design and also prevent other ideas from creeping in and diluting the sites effectiveness.

How do I create a password protected folder so that people can download files I've uploaded?

Step 1. Log in to your control panel.

Step 2. Click on File Manager.

where do I point my domain names?

please change your nameservers on all your domains to:

ns1.onecentralasia.com 209.200.249.185
ns2.onecentralasia.com 209.200.249.186

control panel for hosties and web mail

You can log in to it here to:

  • read webMail Using Horde (I do) or SquirrelMail
  • add domains
  • have total control of your site
  • upload your files

or login to ftp://happyhosting.org and upload viver ftp.
